You may also want to read a shorter bio embedded in the section on Relationship Training Retreats. The Early Years When Toni was in her mid-20’s, she was introduced to many books that promoted the idea of creating your own reality with authors like Napoleon Hill and Norman Vincent Peale who taught about the power of positive thinking. Then a friend took her to a lecture by Champion Teutsch, whose methods promised to give her the tools she needed to create any reality that she could envision for herself. This set her off on a quest to master her own life. One of her
strongest interests was in health and wellness and in the early
years she studied many modalities including Touch for Health
(a practice that Dr. John Thie developed based on Chinese medicine
using kinesiology with muscle testing, energy balancing, and
releasing energy through acupressure points along the bodies
meridians). She studied may types of Yoga (Integral Hatha Yoga as
taught by Swami Satchidananda; Kundalini Yoga with Yogi Bajan; and
Ashtanga Yoga) and went on to teach Hatha Yoga for many years.
More recently she produced Tantric Partner Yoga, a DVD,
demonstrating simple yoga asanas for partners. NLP (Neuro
Linguistic Programming) was an important part of her early studies
and she has come full-circle in more recent studies with Dr.
Richard Bartlett of Matrix Energetics, based
primarily on NLP techniques, and Quantum healing.
During the years when Toni was an Internationally
known commercial and fashion model, she became obsessed with
nutrition and beauty secrets. She quizzed many other super
models about what made them more beautiful than the average woman.
Their backgrounds usually included growing up with healthy
nutrition, active sports, and a balanced life. This interest
eventually led her to
writing a health
and beauty book, Five years of research went into writing and publishing the book (Grosset & Dunlap) and included studying the works of Adelle Davis; Arnold Ehret; Raymond Dextreit; Louis Kervan; Dr.H.E. Kirschner; Frances Moore Lappé; Dr. Henry G.Bieler; Edgar Cayce (nutritional readings) and many, many, others.
Alternative Studies
Celebrities in the health and healing professions
she studied with as well as interviewed include, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Fritjof Capra, and Dr. Bernie Siegel.
Her involvement in television only strengthened her
interest in health and healing. More and more healing modalities
came her way and Toni enrolled in classes in everything from
healing to Quantum Physics. Uri Geller taught her spoon bending
as well as mind-bending. Rev. Willard Fuller taught her about
spiritual healing. Through John-David’s learning institute (a
certified International Institute on Neurosciences) she studied
left-right brain functioning. She walked on fire with Tony
Robbins; learned how to find God through sex with David Deida;
learned non-violent communication through Marshall Rosenberg;
discovered her life’s purpose through Terry Cole-Whittaker; and
learned about shamanic healing through Medicine Woman, Lynn
Andrews. Rolling and Chua-Ka facial massage techniques, she learned through Oscar Ischazo’s Arica Training. Through Rolfing she learned to do deep tissue massage and structural integration. She also developed many structural alignment techniques of her own over 3 decades of yoga practice and is working on releasing a DVD in which she teaches a 15-minute routine that shows people how to do just this through playful movement, dance and yoga techniques. She learned energy healing and chaka balancing from Dr. Richard Moss. Other healers she studied with include Roz Bruyere; the channelers Lazarus and Kevin Ryerson; dowser, Harold McCoy; the Yuen Method; and Margarida Moniz. She is currently learning quantum healing techniques through Richard Bartlett and his Matrix Energetics training. She learned about health and intimacy in relationships with Sandra Ray’s Loving Relationships Trainings, and many others. This and her years of study in emotional, spiritual, and mental-psychological healing techniques prepared her for the counseling service she has performed for people both in and out of relationship during the last 20 years.
Over
the years she also practiced the art of massage, and is especially
fond of techniques she learned from Bob Ramey, who taught her a
combination of Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu, and contact dance all
rolled into one.
